Evapotranspiration/Consumptive Use : Total amount of water lost from cropped or irrigated land due to evaporation from soil and transpiration by plants
 It is measured by physical instruments like lysimeter,field plots etc..
 It is estimated by empirical equations like Blaney-Criddle,Thronthwaite equations and Theoretical equations like Penmann's equation.
