a beam AB is freely supported at its ends and carries a un formaly distributed load over the entire span. it is propped at its middle point C in such a way that there is no tension on its compression edge. calculate what proportion of the deflection at C can be removed by the prop without causing tension on the compression edge of the beam?
(HINT- the tension on compression edge will be just zero if the bending moment at C is zero)
